Assistant, Governance (50%)

Role

The Governance unit (GOV) contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the ISO Strategy by providing high quality services to the ISO Officers and the ISO governance bodies (General Assembly, Council and its standing committees - CSC/SP [strategy and policy], CSC/FIN [finance], CSC/NOM [nominations] and CSC/OVE [oversight] - and the President’s Committee).

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the GOV team, which includes:
  1. Managing the team e-mail account.
  2. Handling correspondence.
  3. Filing (e-filing and hardcopy) and maintaining GOV’s archives.
  4. Formatting and finalizing documents and PPT presentations for publication.
  5. Updating governance related lists (e.g. dates, contacts, meetings).
  • Providing logistical and administrative support for ISO governance meetings.
  • Drafting and proofreading documents in English and French as required.
  • Performing other duties related to the position as required, including backing up the other team assistant.
Report to: Head, Governance

Qualification and Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience as administrative assistant, ideally in a multicultural environment and in a not-for-profit organization.
  • Previous experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential documents.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • CFC (or equivalent) is required, university degree is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and French languages (C2 level minimum), ideally mother tongue in
    one (or both) languages.
  • Knowledge of Document Management System Livelink is an asset.
